Iceberg, right ahead! Well, maybe night right ahead. More like just under five months ahead. Titanic is headed back into theaters next spring and today, there’s a new poster for the film’s big 3D 2012 release.

It seems like only yesterday, Jack and Rose were falling in love and interlocking their fates in all of their you-jump-I-jump glory. Of course, we all know how well that worked out. Regardless, Titanic in 3D has the potential to be fantastic, assuming we can figure out how to wipe our tear-filled eyes without knocking our glasses off.

Here’s the poster for Titanic 3D, which hits theaters on April 6th.

There are a lot of “classic” images associated with Titanic. Jack’s “King of the World” moment. Rose and Jack’s “I’m Flying” moment. Dancing with the other people in steerage. The lifeboat view of the ship sinking. Instead of those moments, for this poster, they went with one simple, very familiar image. Jack and Rose are at the place where they first met, about to go down with the ship. They look cold, and things are about to get even colder, and really wet.

How’s it going to look in 3D? We’ll have to wait and see, but given how visually stunning many of the scenes were on the big screen during their original release, it might not be far off to expect something really spectacular in 3D.
