Liam Hemsworth Gets Teddy Roosevelt Tattoo To Match Miley Cyrus
Liam Hemsworth has gotten a new tattoo. The Hunger Games actor had some script tatted onto his forearm recently, and he seems to have done so to match his blonde actress fiancée, Miley Cyrus. Hemsworth chose a quote from Teddy Roosevelt that speaks of personal fortitude that says, “"If he fails, at least fails while daring greatly." I personally think it’s missing something without the second half of the quote, which states “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.” You can judge for yourself, however.
A few months back, Miley Cyrus got an extremely lengthy political quote from one of the coolest Presidents to ever to make a State of the Union address on her forearm. The Teddy Roosevelt quote was meant to take a shot at Roosevelt’s critics and Cyrus seemed to have commissioned the tattoo as a giant middle finger to all of the bad press she’s earned over the years. The words her fiancé have chosen from the great T.R. suit his persona a little less, but his reason for getting the words are a little more deducible.
Hemsworth shared the ink recently via Instagram, showing exactly how closely related his tattoo seems to be to Cyrus’. His phrase also comes from Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena” speech, and it seems to speak to he and Cyrus’ shared experience in the spotlight, as well as to help cement their romantic union. Of course, I’m speculating, but as far as matching tattoo ideas go, a Roosevelt quote is far from the worst idea I can think of.
