Ellen Page has made quite a name for herself over the past few years, playing everything from murderous jailbait to a hipper-than-thou pregnant teen to a girl-power roller-derby star. Now she’s stepping to the other side of the camera, teaming up with fellow Whip It actors Alia Shawkat and Sean Tillmann to write a new single-camera comedy for HBO.

The Hollywood Reporter says all three actors will also executive produce the single-camera comedy Stitch N’ Bitch, which is about two Brooklyn hipster chicks who move to Los Angeles to become artists. Although some or all of the three may act in the show, that decision hasn’t been made yet. A regular TV gig would be old hat for Shawkat, since she made her name playing Maeby on Arrested Development.
