See Who Coulson Is Putting Back In The Field In Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

In Tuesdays upcoming episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D entitled “The Things We Bury,” a stalwart member of Coulson’s team will return to the field for the first time this season. Check out this clip from the November 18th episode where FItz (Iain De Caestecker) gets the nod from the big boss to get back out there.

After FItz & Simmons took a tumble to the bottom of the ocean at the end of last season, it left tech genius Fitz without some his most valuable faculties. Finally though, Fitz is getting the call from Coulson to get off the bench and get back in the game. Nervous in the clip after finding ou what his assignment is, the prodigy seems determined and ready to take on the task that he will just have six short minutes to do. The job is to install a transceiver in the allotted time but another catch is that since the accident, Fitz only has one good hand making the task doubly difficult.

“The Things We Bury” will also feature what is sure to be a big time face-off against Hydra who are looking to uncover an ancient secret. Also, Ward will kidnap his brother, Senator Christian Ward, which will hopefully add to the mysterious and violent history of the rogue agent. After being a sleeper Hydra agent for years, Ward has proven to be a character layered in mystery, but clearly there is a method to his madness. What exactly his endgame is is yet to be determined. Still, this family reunion may not go all that well for either Ward.

The episode will also mark the return of Agent Peggy Carter(Hayley Atwell) in her second special guest appearance of the season. Looks like ABC is doing all that they can to push the new Agent Carter series due in 2015. The last time we saw Agent Carter, she was holding off a Hydra stronghold along with the Howling Commandos before acquiring the mysterious obelisk that has been at the center of this season’s narrative. They also captured the dastardly Daniel Whitehall who has appeared in the modern era seemingly un-aged. Perhaps this all has to do with the obelisk? Whitehall was originally a high ranking officer of the Nazi Schutzstaffel known as Werner Reinhardt during World War II leading secret HYDRA expeditions to acquire artifacts of the occult.

Now as the team heads to Hawaii amidst competing plot lines, I think it is important to get the Fitz we know and love back on the radar. He has just not been the same this season and with good reason but it is high time that he gets back in the game. What better place than the big island?
