If the Sons of Anarchy panel at Comic-Con was meant to make me even more excited for Season 4 to premiere, it achieved the desired effect. I’m anxious for the series to get going again and willing to devour whatever morsels of footage FX gives us from the show between now and September. This latest teaser for the new season doesn’t give much away. In fact, it’s very similar to the previously released teaser, but you will get a glimpse of some happy moments.
Last season, many of the SAMCRO guys were hauled off to prison. Season 4 sees them released and returning to Charming. Much like the previous teaser released, this one features Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Dani California” and gives us a glimpse of the guys leaving prison. While the earlier teaser showcases some of the impending tension, including Jax issues with Clay and glimpses of guns, this one seems to focus more on their homecoming and reunions. The relationships and the family element in Sons are really the glue to the series, binding the show together, beyond the all of the drama, sex, violence, and motorcycles (all of which certainly have their place as well!). It's good to see there's more of that to come when the series returns.
Sons of Anarchy premieres September 6, 2011 on FX.
