Anytime You Have Space, You Naturally Have Chimps

There have been exactly 457,129 animated movies about talking chimps in outerspace. I can’t think of any of the names right now, but I’m sure the number is correct or a fairly decent estimate. That means that Fox’s comedy, Space Chimps, is up against some impressive company when it is released on DVD and Blu-Ray on November 25th.

I’m joking of course; Space Chimps pretty much stands alone. Most critics thought that was a good thing, but you may disagree. If you do, you can watch the story of Ham III, the grandson (grandchimp?) of a famous NASA astronaut who goes into space to retrive a lost probe. He’s joined by a girl chimp that he falls in love with and rules enforcing commander chimp. Andy Samberg, Cheryl Hines, Stanley Tucci, Jeff Daniels, Jane Lynch, Patrick Warburton, and Kristin Chenoweth. One of the producers of Shrek, John H. Williams, produced this along with Barry Sonnenfeld of all people.

The extras don’t look like much, but if you’re interested in those and the box art, keep scrolling down and behold.
