Find Out What Motherhood Means To Uma Thurman On February 23rd

Do your kids deserve a time out? Give them one anyway, because you’ll need some time to check out Katherine Dieckmann’s Motherhood when it hits DVD and Blu-ray on February 23rd, 2010 courtesy of Nation Entertainment Media.

Motherhood is a day in the life of fiction-writer-turned-mom-blogger Eliza Welch (Uma Thurman). This day is especially hectic because, on top of her daily chores, she also has to put together the birthday party of her daughter’s dreams while tending to her own dream of writing for an upscale parenting magazine by submitting a 500-word answer to the question, "What does motherhood mean to me?"

This movie is exactly what it sounds like: a whiny representation of the woes of mommyhood. It’s preachy and pathetic at times, but Motherhood has a number of endearing moments and is sure to evoke a chuckle from any parent suffering from similar troubles.

Both the DVD and BD are priced at $24.98, and both come with interviews with Thurman, Anthony Edwards, Minnie Driver, and Dieckmann, as well as audio commentary with Dieckmann and producer Rachel Cohen. On top of that, Home Media Magazine got word that they will have over $400 worth of coupons for family-friendly companies like Aveeno Baby, Diapers.com, and Baby Bjorn, too. $24.98 for over $400 in savings? If you’ve got kids, this one’s a no-brainer!
