Get Yourself A Piece Of The Trailer For American Pie Presents: The Book Of Love

Hollywood never met a franchise it didn't want to beat to death. After all, it's a lot safer to slap the Die Hard title onto an unrelated action script and call it Live Free or Die Hard than it is to take a risk on something new. I never would have pegged American Pie as a franchise when it came out way back in 1999, but damned if those pie-molesters haven't proven me wrong. The AP brand has taken a page from National Lampoon and released a half-dozen (but not yet a baker's dozen) of direct-to-DVD sequels over the past decade. The latest batch arrives on Blu-ray and DVD this winter from Universal Studios Home Entertainment, so be sure to ask your loved ones to stuff your stocking with American Pie Presents: The Book of Love. Still not sold? Howsabout a trailer?

Arriving December 22nd, Book of Love brings back series staple and eyebrow enthusiast Eugene Levy, alongside a pack of age-appropriate newcomers who probably wish Kevin Federline's name wasn't listed above theirs in the press release. The plot follows the kids trying to reconstruct a decades-old "bible" of dating and sex secrets so they can...you know what? It's a new pack of kids trying to get laid and see boobs. If you like that sort of thing, it's the sort of thing you'll like. Also, if the trailer is to be believed, foodstuffs will yet again be violated.

$39.98 will net you a Blu-ray copy, and the DVD will only cost you $29.98. Along with pastry-related eroticism and a healthy dose of schadenfreude, you'll get the following special features:
