I’ve been excited about Repo! The Genetic Opera ever since we talked to Darren Lynn Bousman, the director of the musical venture. I know a lot of people have been willing to write off the film because of Paris Hilton’s involvement, but I think her presence is quickly countered by the numerous other names attached: Anthony Stewart Head (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer), Alexa Vega (Spy Kids), Sarah Brightman (Phantom of the Opera on stage), and don’t forget award winning actor Paul Sorvino. That’s quite a cast for a futuristic opera about organ transplants… and repossession.
If you’re like me, you were excited about the film, but disappointed that it didn’t open very widely, making it hard to check it out. Purchasing something like this unseen is a bit of a coin toss, so let us help you with that by giving you the opportunity to win your own copy without having to buy it. The winners will be contacted at the email address submitted with the comment to get a mailing address. No need to leave your email address in the body of the comment - just be sure to include it in the field that says "email." If you don’t leave it, we can’t contact you, and we’ll just keep the prizes for ourselves (or, more likely, pick a different winner - one who can read directions).
