Jack Bauer Redeemed: No Longer In Exile
Jack Bauer by any other name still kicks ass. Even when most people think the show is jumping the shark or nuking the fridge or whatever phrase kids are using these days, everyone loves Keifer Sutherland’s character, and the best thing about his recent movies like Mirrors is that they’ve still basically been Jack Bauer, just in non-terrorist situations. So we’re not the least bit worried about the upcoming 24 movie changing names.
Fox has announced a name change for the movie, which will hit DVD just a few days after it airs on television, hitting shelves November 25th. Instead of being titled 24: Exile the telefilm is now titled 24: Redemption.
Personally, I can’t help but wonder if the title change means the focus of the story has shifted in the editing room, or if they just thing Redemption has a catchier ring to it. After all, Bauer has been exiled before. Other than that, the details on the DVD release are exactly the same as we reported before.
Check out 24: Redemption on TV on November 23rd and in stores on DVD in an extended cut on November 25th.
