Lost Boys 3 Moves Ahead With Corey Feldman

I guess Warner Brothers didn’t catch on from all the negative comments being put out there that a second Lost Boys film was a bad idea, because they went ahead with Lost Boys: The Tribe which went straight to DVD last year. Even bringing back Corey Feldman and Corey Haim did little for the movie, other than getting it some additional publicity.

Feldman’s presence might not have done much for The Tribe, but it’s going to keep the franchise moving forward. Bloody-Disgusting reports that Feldman has joined a theoretical third picture (also planned as a direct-to-DVD release) as executive producer, which will help the actor gets what he wants as the third picture focuses on his character, Edgar Frog. His on-screen brother, played by Jamison Newlander will also return for the third movie.

Writer Evan Charnov (TV’s Fearless is his only credit to date) will write the script for Lost Boys 3. Beyond that, not much is known, other than the whole idea is a travesty that should never have gotten past the idea phase. Then again, we said that about the second movie too, and that came to fruition, terrible as it may have been, so expect this won’t stay in script phase for too long. It seems that Warner Brothers is eager to pull together a third movie before the series fades for another twenty years.
