Otis Gets A DVD Announcement Prior To SXSW Debut.

Otis makes its debut tonight at SXSW, which hopefully means you can read a review shortly in our SXSW coverage. Interestingly, on the evening of its debut, Warner Home Video has released information about the planned DVD and Blu-ray release for the black comedy, which will come out June 10th.

The movie is a darkly comedic look at a family’s encounter with a serial killer and sars Daniel Stern (City Slickers), Illeana Douglas (Ghost World), Kevin Pollack (The Usual Suspects) and was directed by Tony Krantz (Sublime).

While Otis hasn’t had an official theatrical release date selected yet, it is headed for numerous film festivals besides SXSW. It marks the fourth film to be released under WB’s “Raw Feed” banner, as well as the highest profile cast of any movie under that banner to date.

For a movie without a formal release date, the DVD is carrying a fair amount of extras. Take a look and look for Otis in film festivals near you and on DVD and Blu-ay on June 10th.

  • Bonus Material
  • Commentary by Director Tony Krantz and Writer Erik Jendresen
  • Featurette: The Twisted World of Otis in which the cast and crew discuss how and why comedy works within the confines of the film
