Ring In The New Year With The Tudors
I don’t have Showtime and most of the time I’m fine with that. After all, with a household full of DVDs, what need do I have for a movie channel? The only time I start to change my mind about that decision is when the pay-channel adds an original series like The Tudors that grabs my attention. Fortunately for me, the first season of The Tudors is headed for DVD soon, so I can catch up on what I’ve been missing.
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced a January 1st release date for The Tudors. Starring Johnathan Rhys Meyers (August Rush), the series looks at the decadent life of 19-year-old ruler Henry VIII. The first season set includes all 10 episodes, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the series.
Personally, I plan on celebrating New Years like I was King Henry VIII, so I don’t know about picking this up on January 1st when I’m nursing a hangover. Still better to have a hangover than to lose your head, eh? Pick up the series as soon after the year starts and don’t risk any retribution from the King.
