If you're a fan of the White Stripes, you might already have heard of the Under Great White Northern Lights tour. For those uninitiated -- including myself -- back in 2007 the Stripes set out to perform in every province and territory in Canada, leading up to a 10th anniversary show in Nova Scotia. Cameras were along for the ride, and the resulting documentary is being released as a limited edition boxed set you can order from WhiteStripes.com.
The documentary premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this past September, and there's no word on whether or not it will get a theatrical run, so if you're a fan of the band, this box set is probably the way to go. If you order before January 1st, you can get the expansive collector's set for $179, but if you wait until the new year that price will go up to $229. Plus, by ordering early you'll get a limited edition holiday card from the band and three exclusive mp3s.
