For the past day, "fat" PlayStation 3 models have been essentially unable to do anything due to a mysterious Error 8001050F. However, now the issue appears to be resolved.
The glitch, which didn't affected the new slim PS3's, made it impossible to connect to PSN. Playing games didn't work, either. Sony believes that the error was due to "a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system." Ah, it's all so clear now.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2's midnight launch is but a few hours away so it's a good thing Sony got this fixed now. The nerd-rage is deep enough as it is.
