Subscribe To Rapid Assault, Large-Scale WWII Battlefield Shooter Heads To Kickstarter Updates
If you feel that we don't get enough large-scale, realistic-style, World War II battlefield shooters, then look to Cornered Rat Software to get you your fix with Rapid Assault. The game is currently on Kickstarter and has a little more than half-a-month to go.

Al Corey, executive producer commented on the Kickstarter page, saying...
"We are long-time fans of games like Red Orchestra, ARMA and World of Tanks and we're inspired to bring a new, combined arms tactical shooter to market with our own flavor."
The game is similar to all of the above, lending itself closer to the earlier Medal of Honor games with a mix of World of Tanks. You can check out the gameplay in the Kickstarter promotional video below.

The game sports up to 64 players per each map, as well as first and third-person options, so you can play the way that best suits your style of immersion. The game's open-ended design structure will also allow for a lot of expansions, so it appears as if the game could extended further than its initial development with extra content appearing regularly.

Of course, if you're not that impressed with the graphics take note that that's what the Kickstarter money is for and the graphics will get an overhaul as well as the rest of the game getting finished.

Given that we have so many military war sims out there, it's hard to tell how well people will take a liking to yet another military war sim, but it doesn't hurt to at least give the game a looksy, who knows maybe that rustic green and brown aesthetic just might win you over.

You can learn more about Rapid Assault from Cornered Rat Software by visiting the Official Kickstarter Page. The game currently sits at $14,832 out of a $100,000 goal.
