Nintendo's North American president, Reggie Fils-Aime, finally gave gamers a reason to be excited about the Wii U this year: new information will be spilled before E3. Not only that, the company is expected to have fully playable games at this year's E3 and they will also be unveiling additional details after E3.

In an interview with CNN [via CVG], Fils-Aime commented that the Nintendo Wii will be a force to be reckoned with this year as the company will be unleashing concrete details sooner than some people may have been expecting. Reggie Specifically stated that..."We haven't announced pricing and we haven't announced specific details. We'll share more information between now and E3 and after E3."

Some rumors around the block are saying that multiple WiiPad support will finally be cleared up before E3 and that the system may support up to two simultaneous WiiPads at a time. However, that's just a speculative rumor from some developers according to FudZilla. Although given that the Wii U will launch later this year I don't doubt that the multiple WiiPad rumors will probably be cleared up just before E3...I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it will happen at this year's upcoming Game Developers Conference.

Anyway, at least now we know Nintendo has plans to keep gamers surprised and intrigued throughout 2012 with Wii U information. Additionally, rumors are also spreading (again) that the those Wii U specs released a while back may be closer to the actual specs than some people think. The only new info about the specs is that some claims from unnamed sources have surfaced saying that the CPU architecture is very similar to that of the Xbox 360. I'd take that with a grain of salt.

We'll keep you posted on additional news and info regarding the Wii U. If you want official word on Nintendo's upcoming products feel free to pay a visit to the Official Website.
