Insomniac Games has released a new video highlighting their upcoming project, the highly-anticipated Spider-Man. Called "An Inside Look at Marvel's Spider-Man," the video boasts footage from the upcoming title, as well as input from team members.

For some folks, the new Spider-Man gameplay trailer stole the show during E3 2017. And while we got to see a lot of Spidey's trademark moves in action, you likely noticed that the suit he's wearing is a unique take on the traditional look. According to Creative Director Brian Intihar, that was intentional.

Everyone has been wondering exactly when Insomniac's new Spider-Man will be making its way to home consoles. Well now we have a time frame on when we can expect to see the new Spider-Man game for the PS4.

Oftentimes when a developer documentary is released it covers all the basics that most gamers, by now, have become used to seeing: mo-cap actors performing stunts and vocal actors prattling off some lines in a sound studio. However, Insomniac has taken a different approach to the in-game cinematics with their motion and vocal capture technique, which is shown off in the new dev doc.

There was a fairly loud clamoring to call the PS3 dead after Final Fantasy XIII was announced for the 360 on Monday. But before that happens maybe we should remember that Sony does have other games up its sleeve. Games like Resistance 2, the sequel to Insomniac’s PS3 launch title. Sony’s not done yet, not even close.

Let’s just forget a “Halo killer” title from Sony. The Bungie franchise is just beyond all normal reason. But you should also forget about Killzone as any kind of killer app, because the shooter that is going to melt faces like the Ark of the Covenant will be Insomniac’s Resistance 2.

Insomniac Games, the developer behind Ratchet & Clank and Resistance has today unveiled a tech-sharing initiative they call “Nocturnal.” In an environment when more and more people are sharing their technology, Insomniac is jumping on board to share portions of its source code and presentations free of charge to independent developers.
