Aasif Mandvi Joins Owen Wilson And Vince Vaughn In The Internship

Aasif Mandvi is best known for his work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, but he actually has been dabbling in movie roles for a long time now. Whether you remember him as the "Arab Cabbie" in Die Hard: With a Vengeance or the pizza store owner in Spider-Man 2, the guy has been around a long time and just keeps working (he has already seen the release of two of his movies this year - The Dictator and Ruby Sparks - and Premium Rush is due out next month). And he's keeping busy.

Mandvi, Deadline says, has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy The Internship. Set to be directed by Shawn Levy, the movie reunites Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as leads for the first time since Old School. The story follows two men who are stuck in a dead-end career, and decide to enroll in an internship program so that they can try and start over. Mandvi will be playing the role of Mr. Chetty, the head of the program in which Vaughn and Wilson are enrolled - and apparently he's not their biggest fan. Teen Wolf's Dylan O’Brien is also set with a role in the movie as is JoAnna Garcia. There have also been rumors about X-Men: First Class' Rose Byrne and The Social Network's Max Minghella, but the new report doesn't mention them. The Internship is currently in production.

In addition to Premium Rush, Mandvi's upcoming schedule also includes the comedy Gods Behaving Badly as well as Movie 43.
