Anne Hathaway, a newly minted Oscar winner who also stole nearly every scene in last summer's The Dark Knight Rises, is now set to reunite with Christopher Nolan for the director's upcoming super-secret sci-fi adventure. Deadline reports that she's about to close a deal to star in Interstellar, the project that already has Matthew McConaughey on board as the lead.

We know almost nothing else about the story, other than the vague promise that it will "depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding." We don't even know what role Hathaway might play, but given that she's only the second person to join and that she's a major star, it's safe to assume it's a pretty big role. When she was walking the Oscars red carpet she said she had no plans for the rest of the year, starting a lot of rumors that she was ready to start a family with her new husband. But when a role in a big, secret Nolan movie comes along, it's gotta be hard to say no.

Interstellar has been in development at Warner Bros. since 2007 as a script from Nolan's brother Jonathan, and in January the elder Nolan signed on to rewrite the script, add in his own story elements, and make it his first film since the Batman trilogy concluded. Given his track record, the details are likely to stay murky for quite a while… but as casting heats up, a few more details are likely to emerge too. Stay tuned.
