Channing Tatum Is A Superspy

Here's a weird Super Bowl factoid for you. 20 years ago NBC used the occasion of the 23rd Super Bowl to debut a miniseries, Brotherhood of the Rose-- because apparently back then people would stay up for an entire TV movie after the game, instead of an hourlong episode of The Office. And now just days before the 43rd Bowl, Channing Tatum has been tapped to star in a remake of Brotherhood of the Rose-- this one a feature film.

The movie will be based on the original novel by David Morrell, part of a trilogy about two orphans trained to be top spies. Variety adds that Dito Montiel, who directed Tatum in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, will write and direct this time around as well. No word on who will be Tatum's partner in espionage, but whoever he is, he'd better hit the gym. It's hard to compete against those Channing Tatum guns.
