Earth Will Continue To Move

This just in: I’m not excited about the upcoming Keanu Reeves remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still and you probably aren’t either. This is not an opinion but a God-honest fact. This film looks so awful, Twentieth Century Fox isn’t even getting behind it. Keep in mind this is the same studio that shoved Alien Vs Predator commercials down everyone’s throats. Really makes you wonder how bad this future flop must be.

According to Dark Horizons, The Day The Earth Stood Still has been asked to sit on the back of the bus until December 12th of 2008. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill one week delay either. The film was originally scheduled for a May release, but word on the street is executives were weary of competing with Speed Racer. Yeah, nothing scares the daylights out of me like Japanese Anime. Frightening. Check back in a few months for another story about how this disaster was postponed in order to avoid a confrontation with the Santa Clause IV.
