Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom is an amusing tale of twelve-year-old love, written not for makeup-caked tween girls or surprisingly confident boys but for the adults who can totally appreciate the film’s subtleties. Moonrise Kingdom is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on October 16 and, to celebrate the release, Universal Home Entertainment has brought us an excusive—and super cute clip—to share with fans.

Called “Letter of Resignation,” the clip follows police officer Captain Sharp as he gets some pretty bad news: a young khaki scout has escaped his camp with an sufficient amount of supplies and a determined attitude. I wish we could actually meet the oddball character that is Sam Shakusky in the clip, but the voiceover note explaining his resignation from camp kind of explains the kind of kid the film is dealing with.

Moonrise Kingdom is about runaways, relationships, and one hell of a squall. If you missed the film in theaters, it stars Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand, and Edward Murray, as well as the two kids key to the plot of the film, played by Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward. The set won’t be too chock full of bonus features, but it will come with a “Welcome to the Island of Penzance” featurette, which should feature the best narrator ever, aka Bob Balaban. Additionally, a set tour with Bill Murray and a “Look inside Moonrise Kingdom.” You can check out the cover art, below.
