I had the pleasure of meeting Dakota Fanning last year. I was instantly forced to take back all of the negative things I’ve ever said about her. On screen she may seem precocious and unnaturally mature, but in person she came across as very genuine and sincere. She also was very much the kid she should be, which sometimes works well for reporters, since kids typically have trouble keeping secrets.

Let’s be honest - New Moon needs some good PR right now. After dropping Twilight’s director and nearly dropping a fan-favorite cast member, they need to bring someone on who is going to bring excitement while promoting the film. Fanning would be a very good pick.
