IFC Jumps In The Loop

Our Sundance crew didn't manage to catch In The Loop when they were at the festival, given that it debuted late in the festival last night. But apparently it was one of the ones worth seeing. IFC Films, the indie distributor that usually makes a number of purchases at Sundance, has picked up the political farce, which debuted at the festival out of competition.

James Gandolfini, Peter Capaldi, Tom Hollander and Anna Chlumsky star in the film, which THR says was earning buzz during the festival after a press and industry screening. Jesse Armstrong and Armanda Iannucci, who have also worked together on the British TV series The Thick Of It, co-wrote and co-directed the film. Anything that offers the chance to see Tony Soprano in a military uniform has to be worth watching, right?
