The Incredible Burt Wonderstone Will Appear On Blu-ray And DVD In June

Magic can be a pretty touch comedic premise to sell, even with the likes of Steve Carell, Jim Carrey (who got into sick shape for the role), James Gandolfini, Steve Buscemi, and Olivia Wilde on board to sell it. That’s what The Incredible Burt Wonderstone learned when it hit the box office in the US and didn’t even manage to make back its money on a $30 million budget. I bet producers are trying to figure out a way to make those numbers disappear, or at least rearrange themselves.

If you haven’t caught the film, yet, it’s still playing in some theaters, but if you are just waiting for the home entertainment release, you’ll be able to purchase the film beginning on June 25. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as if Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will be putting together an early digital release for the flick, which means Blu-ray copies, DVD copies, and digital downloads will be available simultaneously. All you need is the secret word: shazam!

Just kidding, all you’ll actually need to purchase the set is some cash or a credit card. Blu-ray copies will run for the price of $35.99 and DVD copies can be found for much cheaper, at $29.98. Unfortunately, fans will get to pay less with the DVD sets, but they won’t get most of the extras. Comedies are usually pretty good about offering a lot of actually amusing outtakes and gag reels, but with DVD copies, the gag reel will be the lone bonus feature. You can check out the full list of extras, below.
