Iron Man In The Super Bowl

Paramount is pushing Iron Man’s debut this summer hard, and they’re pushing it early. Marvel and Paramount announced today that they have a spot for Iron Man reserved in the Super Bowl. It’s a natural fit. The only thing America likes more than football is dance competitions, but only slightly less popular than football are superheroes. Paramount should probably also consider advertising it during the next installment of Dancing with the Stars.

The Jon Favreau film will have a teaser this Sunday February 3rd during the breaks between the New England Patriots’ face-off with the New York Giants. If however like me you’ll be much too busy stabbing yourself in the eye with a fork to watch an overhyped marketing event masquerading as a football game, then you’ll be able to watch it today, Friday February 1st. Here’s the skinny from Paramount on where you can find it: “Marvel.com will tease the spot on February 1, and following its TV debut at approximately 4:30 p.m. PST, the ad will be available on Apple.com, Marvel.com, and the official Iron Man website at IronManMovie.com. Additional sites, including Yahoo Sports! and ESPN.com, will carry the ad the following day.”

Once it pops up online, we’ll have a direct link to the new trailer for you here on Cinema Blend.
