I have sort of good feelings towards The Princess Diaries, Rafe was right when he said in his DVD review that seeing it reminded him of watching Disney live action movies when he was younger. It has a warm, fuzzy, Parent Trap vibe and a star who is nearly as sexy-cute as Haley Mills. Word isn’t that Princess Diaries 2 isn’t nearly as lovable, but doing more of that sort of film is bound to be better than making another movie with Hillary Duff isn’t it? The author of the books adapted for the "Princess Diaries" movies is currently having two more books turned into movie scripts. Meg Cabot's "Teen Idol" and "Every Boy's Got One" have been optioned by writer/producer Joan Singleton. Cabot has previously written several suspense novels for teens and her "All American Girl" novel is currently under production. It will star Raven.
Suspense novels from the guy who wrote the Princess Diaries? Starring Raven Simone? Sounds a little weird, though I guess I’m always happy to see ex-Cosby kids working. Though I’m not sure Raven really qualifies as a Cosby kid. She was more of a Cosby cute kid afterthought. If you have kids, here’s what you get to look forward to dragging them out for.
