Nepotism Lands Amy Redford A Lead Role

There are numerous perks to being the child of a celebrity—lots of money, the ability to get a table at any hot restaurant, and open doors leading directly into the spotlight. Of course, there’s the whole annoying paparazzi factor, but let’s just focus on the good for now. Being the daughter of Hollywood icon Robert Redford isn’t a bad life to be born into, and it’s also helped Amy Redford segue into an acting career.

According to Production Weekly, Amy will play the lead role in Jack Conroy’s drama Finding Fate, along with Patrick Bergin, Hugh O’Conor, Jamie Harris and John Keating. The script, written by Shawna McCorkmack, is about a young woman whose life goes into turmoil after her brother deceives her, and the truth comes out on the far away shores of Ireland.

Amy has appeared in a few films including Maid In Manhattan, and a couple of TV shows such as Sex and the City and The Sopranos. I hope that she has enough talent to shine on her own; after all, Tom Hanks can get son Colin’s foot in the door, but he sure can’t help the guy act.

Finding Fate will shoot early next year in Ireland and New York.
