Sasha Barrese Coming Back For The Hangover Part III

If you appeared in either The Hangover or its raunchy follow up, there’s a better-than-average chance Todd Phillips has a part for you in The Hangover Part III. Almost every former cast member has been confirmed for the third (and allegedly final) Hangover comedy. The latest veteran added to the ensemble of the new film? Sasha Barrese, the frustrated beauty whose wedding to Doug (Justin Bartha) was jeopardized in the first film.

Variety says Barrese will be back as Tracy. The trade can’t confirm whether she’ll be relegated to holding a phone and asking Bradley Cooper where the hell they’ve been – her specialty in the comedies, to date. She is the latest familiar cast member tapped by Phillips, following Mike Epps, Heather Graham and, of course, Ken Jeong, who reportedly will have a bigger part to play in the sequel.

They’ll all join series staples Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha, though it’s still unclear what anyone will be doing in the sequel. Plot details are being kept under wraps. Shooting will have to begin soon, however, as Warner Bros. wants the comedy in theaters on May 24. Variety notes that Phillips co-wrote the latest Hangover script with Craig Mazin. What do they have in store for audiences this time around? After transvestites, drugged tigers, face tattoos and a left-hook-throwing Mike Tyson, the series has a long way to go to top its previous insanity. We’ll see next summer if the Hangover trilogy is able to go out on a high note.
