Spidey's Franko Doesn't Speak

I miss the days when MTV and VH1 ran music videos. Now they’re moving into scooping movie sites for news. Maybe Cinema Blend should turn around and start running music videos.

VH1/MTV News has an interview with James Franco that reveals a little information about Spider-Man 3, 2007’s most anticipate film. Actually, the interview reveals more of what Franco can’t talk about then anything he can, and attempts to glean information from Franco’s lack of words by looking at Franco’s part in the first two movies.

The big news in the interview is that Franco has already shot special effects footage for the third movie in the franchise, which they think is evidence that his character will be moving to the dark side. Franco’s tight lipped reply: "I don't know. I can't really talk about that, in the other films, I did plenty of wire work and green screen."

My favorite part of the interview, however, is Franco’s unintentional revelation that the only loose lipped member of the cast, Kirsten Dunst, got in trouble for her prior comments about the movie, adding some weight to the truth of what Dunst said about “two and a half bad guys” being in the film because one was being ressurected. I'd love to talk about it,” says Franco, “It's the one thing people ask me. I wish I could."

To see the entire interview, head here. Be warned some of what’s there could be considered “spoilers”, although only loosely. It’s mostly rampant speculation.
