Taxi Driver 2

"These days baby, you gotta have a sequel!", was said in post-modern horror movie Scream. Well maybe that might be a little truer than we'd like.

As a template to the unreliability of this story I will tell you that it comes from that black hole of tabloid celebrity gossip IMDb. So treat it with a sensible amount of caution and context.

Bob DeNiro, who desperately needs better work these days, has been quoted as saying, "I was talking with Martin Scorsese about doing what I guess you'd call a sequel to Taxi Driver, where he is older."

Now, before you, me and especially EDJ on the forums go jumping up and down in a hissy fit, lets remember that this could amount to nothing more than two buddies in the industry throwing ideas around and nothing more will come of it. It could also just be DeNiro fishing for ra project that does not suck by reminding everyone he used to be a great actor.

Sure in this day and age, where Carlito's Way gets a rather shaky sequel and Scarface gets adapted into a video-game even though GTA: Vice City essentially was that videogame 4 years ago, something could stick, but really... would we want it to.

Lightning rarely strikes twice.
