In less than a month, Disney's animated film about a video game character determined to prove he's hero-material will make its way into theaters. The new international trailer for Wreck-It Ralph gives us a look at some of the highlights of his journey and the partnership he appears to form with Sarah Silverman's character Vanellope von Schweetz.
For those of us who've been looking forward to Wreck-It Ralph since the first trailer was revealed, a lot of what's shown in the new trailer will likely seem familiar. We're introduced to Ralph (John C. Reilly), a video game bad-guy who's feeling down about his lot in life and tired of being unloved for the role he plays in his video game. He soon sets off to take the video game world by storm in an attempt to prove he can be a hero.
Along the way, he meets up with Sarah Silverman's Vanellope von Schweetz, a feisty game character rom a candy-coated cart racing game. We've seen these two together in past trailers, but the last minute or so of this new trailer focuses on their adventure together. And it looks like Ralph's doing a bit of coaching with her as she prepares for a cart race.
As a fan of Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing, I'm glad to see cart racing getting some love in this film!
In addition to Reilly and Silverman, Wreck-It Ralph features the voices of Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer, Alan Tudyk, Dennis Haysbert, Mindy Kaling, Ed O'Neill, Edie McClurg, Rachael Harris and Adam Carolla. The film arrives in theaters November 2. More information, photos and videos can be found in our Blend Film Database.
