Bohemian Rhapsody in 2019

Bohemian Rhapsody is going on a road tour. Thanks to the success of the Twentieth Century Fox movie, a double decker Rock Like Queen tour bus will be going on the road and making pit stops in some major cities--New York City, Austin, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Here's the gist: Starting on January 25, the Rock Like Queen tour will go into action. It will kick off in New York City that day, with Departures from north of Greeley Square, 33rd St and Broadway. On Wednesday, January 30th, the bus will head to Austin, Texas.

Then, in February, the bus will stop in Las Vegas on February 5th and will wrap up in Los Angeles on February 12th. The tour is being timed with Bohemian Rhapsody's Digital release, which is out on January 22nd. The DVD and Blu-ray release will follow on February 12th.

If you live or live near one of those fine cities, access to the Rock Like Queen tour bus will be first come and first serve. Reservations, along with dates and times, can be found at Rock Like Queen's site.

If you can't make any of the Rock Like Queen pit stops, you should actually be able to Rock Like Queen through the fan-favorite movie. The last chunk of the movie is the Live Aid performance and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has already announced the release will give fans the option to view the full Live Aid performance, as well.

There are a few other interactive events. "Get Loud" will happen at the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles for superfans and will feature fun tribute performances. Tickets are free but limited in quantity.

If you have an Amazon Alexa, you can also say: "Alexa, play Ay-Oh live." The fun little extra will allow fans to sing with Freddie Mercury at home. That extra will be available from January 22 through March 31.

Bohemian Rhapsody, despite only OK reviews, has gone on to make a boatload at the box office and be a real awards contender, even winning best drama at the Golden Globes earlier this year. In general, people seem to have rallied around the movie because it is fun, because it has some great performances and because both Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor have been a part of the movie as it has been promoted over the past couple of months.

We'll have to wait and see how things pan out as the Oscars movie along, but you can still catch the flick in theaters in the meantime. To take a look at all of the competition heading into theaters in 2019, take a look at our full movies schedule.
