It’s time for your weekly batch of new content for the Nintendo family of consoles and, this week, classic titles including Pac-Man, Mega Man and Balloon Fight are making an appearance.

Mega Man was almost reinvented this generation with a first-person shooter from Armature Studio. However, the project, codenamed Maverick Hunter, was cancelled by Capcom back in 2010.

Capcom has released a wide array of Xbox Live Avatar gear inspired by Mega Man. These virtual items will give Xbox 360 owners a way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original game's release.

Keiji Inafune, the long-time Capcom producer best known for his work on Mega Man, has resigned. He announced on his blog that he will be leaving the company at the end of the month.

On December 17th, NES side-scrolling hero Mega Man will turn 22 years old. Capcom hopes to make a global celebration out of this admittedly random anniversary.
