ABC Delivers Humor Through Voicemail

You can tell a lot about a person based on the voicemails they have saved in their phone. Now imagine how much you could learn about a guy if you had access to ten years worth of voicemails. Michael Wilde not only saved the last ten years worth of voicemails but he set them to film and is sharing them with the world. ABC took a look at the short film he made and has adapted it to an online series called ‘Voicemail.’

Wilde was featured on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ this week and shared a bit of background info on the series. Check out the clip below:

‘Voicemail’ consists of episodes, which are about a minute long and feature “Mike” as he goes about his life. The voicemails serve as a narrative to Mike’s life. ABC describes the character by stating the following, “If 28 is the new 21, then Michael is the new 14. Pushing thirty, he wants to grow up, he really does. He just doesn't know how.” Based on the voicemails, it looks like they’ve described this guy perfectly. He seems to be the kind of person who doesn’t really think that far ahead which often gets him into uncomfortable (but amusing) situations. Check out a couple of clips below:
