It looks like Isaiah Washington isn’t the only TV actor currently updating his resume and ready to hit the unemployment line. ABC’s ‘Boston Legal’ has been renewing contracts for next season and four of the main characters were left off the list. Was it Shatner, Spader or Bergen?
Of course not. Well, in truth, TVGuide.com’s Ausiello didn’t really have any news about Spader, Shatner or Bergen when he reported that an inside source told him Julie Bowen, Mark Valley, Rene Auberjonois and Constance Zimmer’s contracts had not been renewed. There has been no official word from ABC or David E. Kelley Productions but as the TV Guide Gossip man seems fairly confident that this information is accurate, we can file this under very-probable rumor for now.
Ausiello also reports that John Larroquette (‘Night Court’) will be joining the ‘Boston Legal’ cast as a series regular next season.
