Chuck Season 4 Gets Supersized And More Good News From NBC

TV viewers hooked on NBC shows can continue to rest easy. Following yesterday’s news that Outsourced, Law & Order: Los Angeles and The Event, the Peacock doled out more good news for some of their other series today, including Chuck.

NBC announced today that they’ve given full season pickups or Chuck and Chase. Entertainment Weekly reported an update on that news, stating that Chuck’s back nine is actually a back eleven, bringing Season 4 to a nice even twenty four episodes. That’s a lot of Chuck!

As for Chase, the Jerry Bruckheimer series is averaging 6.5 million viewers overall. The action series stars Kelli Giddish and centers on a group of U.S. Marshals whose job it is to track down dangerous fugitives. That’s the official description anyway. I’ve only seen the first few minutes of a couple of episodes as it follows The Event. My own personal description based on that would be that it centers a pretty but tough looking blonde woman who runs around with a gun in her hands.

Speaking of running around with guns, EW also reported that NBC ordered four more scripts for the spy drama Undercovers, which might be considered good news if they weren’t giving full orders to so many of their other shows. Still, looking at it optimistically, the tentative curiosity for what’s to come is better than abandoning the J.J. Abrams series.
