Community Preview: A Look At Tricia Helfer In Conventions Of Space And Time

Being in love with a TV show is something a lot of Community fans can probably relate to. So, would we really judge Troy and Abed for their affection for a certain Doctor Who-like series? This week's episode, titled "Conventions of Space and Time," takes the study group out of Greendale Community College and off to InspecTiCon, a convention for all things Inspector Spacetime.

The episode description below includes mentions of the guest stars set to be featured, including Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer and Little Britain's Matt Lucas.

THE STUDY GROUP VENTURES TO THE INSPECTOR SPACETIME CONVENTION – MATT LUCAS AND TRICIA HELFER GUEST STAR – In support of Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi), the study group heads to InspecTiCon – the annual Inspector Spacetime Convention. Trouble begins when the group meets up with Abed’s email “pen-pal,” Toby Davies (guest star Matt Lucas, “Little Britain,” “Bridesmaids”), who’s shared passion for Inspector Spacetime comes between Abed and Troy. Meanwhile, Annie (Alison Brie) leaves the convention floor to enjoy the luxuries of the hotel while Jeff (Joel McHale) relaxes in the bar with Lauren, an Inspector Spacetime fan (Tricia Helfer, “Battlestar Galactica”). Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs and Yvette Nicole Brown also star.

Here's a glimpse at Helfer, who appears to be hitting it off with Jeff.

You'd think Jeff would stand out at a science fiction focused convention, but based on this clip, which TVLine shared, he actually fits in better than most people…

I think I want a Thoraxis poster now.

As you may have already started to surmise, this episode has nothing to do with community college, but it does bring the group together for some whacky shenanigans, and that's always a good formula for this group.

Community airs Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
