Community Season 5 Finale Video Teases A Goonies-Like Treasure Hunt
Community will wrap up its fifth season this week as the fate of Greendale hangs in the balance. As the above teaser indicates, adventure awaits in what could be our last Goonie Greendale Weekend. Remember that story about the town that was going to be turned into a golf course or something and the kids went on a quest for lost treasure in the hopes of saving their community? Well, in this story, the kids are community college students, the treasure coms from a former Dean instead of a pirate, and the mystery location is somewhere on the Greendale campus.
Factor in the evident Goonies homage, as referenced directly by Abed, and the fact that this is the Season 5 finale, this week's episode of Community has the potential to be fairly epic! Here's the full description, which reminds us that Greendale is on the verge of being taken over by Subway...
Can they find the potential treasure in time to save Greendale? Will Chang stop them? Is there a chance that someone planted that scroll in the Dean's office to distract the study group? That seems like something Chang might do, and we know he's tasked to keep tabs on the group. It's also something Abed might do in an effort to unite his friends one last time before the ship goes down. But it's also possible that -- even if the note was planted -- there really is a secret area of campus full of old computers and hidden treasure. Anything can happen!

Community airs Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. Watch it live to let NBC know you want this series back next season, because #SixSeasonsAndAMovie!
