De Mornay Cast In New HBO Series

Rebecca De Mornay has recently been cast in the new HBO drama ‘John From Cincinnati’. The show is being created by the same people who brought us the hit (but recently cancelled) show ‘Deadwood’.

‘John From Cincinnati’ is set in southern California and revolves around a family with some major issues. Mitch Yost and son, Butchie are both ex-surfing stars and the wife (played by De Mornay) has been described as “aggressively unhappy”. The son is an addict and its probable that there are some marital difficulties going on between Mitch and Cissy Yost.

The title of the show is pretty self-explanatory. A man named John (played by Austin Nichols) from Cincinnati changes the family’s life when he arrives at Imperial Beach to take surfing lessons. Also starring in the show is Matt Winston who will play Barry Cunningham. He shows up at the beach to exact revenge on the Yost family for something they did to him 23 years ago (hold a grudge much?).

Also set to star in the show is ‘Married With Children’s’ Ed O’Neill who will be playing Bill, a friend of the Yost family and ex-marine.

De Mornay’s most famous role was in ‘Risky Business’ where she starred opposite Tom Cruise as a call girl. She’s appeared in a number of films since then of course, but many would agree that ‘Risky Business’ was her signature role, which launched her into stardom.
