Dollhouse Ratings Drop In Second Episode

It seemed highly unlikely that the ratings for Joss Whedon’s new series Dollhouse would have improved in its second episode. Sure enough, not only did the show not see a boost in the numbers but ratings apparently dropped 15% from last week’s series premiere. It’s a shame too because last night’s episode was much more enjoyable than the first ep. Hopefully at least some of the people who decided not to tune in to the show last night might reconsider and give the series a second chance because after last night's episode, I think it has a lot of potential.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dollhouse had 4.2 million viewers and was once again beaten out by ABC’s Supernanny. Fox’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which airs at 8 PM on Friday nights dipped a tenth of a point from last week with 3.8 million viewers. As both Dollhouse and Terminator: SCC air on Friday nights, it’s not all that surprising that their numbers are low, relatively speaking but it’s still disappointing and I’m sure plenty of Whedonites out there are concerned about the welfare of Dollhouse.

Last night’s episode of Dollhouse titled “Ghost” picked up the pace a bit from last week’s series premiere. I thought we got a better sense of the direction of the show. If you didn’t get a chance to watch it, we’ve embedded it below:
