Much like they did in pairing Spartacus with an online graphic novel animated series, Starz has something similar planned for Torchwood: Miracle Day with Torchwood: Web of Lies. It’s been confirmed today that Eliza Dushku is signed on to star in the project.

Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive on the confirmation of Dushku’s involvement in the animated online “motion comic” Torchwood: Web of Lies, however, rumors have been circulating since Jane Espenson (who’s writing the webseries) tweeted a few weeks ago, “We have faith in Torchwood: Web of Lies. #hint.” Hint indeed. One of Dushku’s most known roles is that of Faith in Buffy The Vampire Slayer (and its spinoff Angel).

There aren’t a lot of plot details for the webseries, but EW does state that the series, which is being developed by BBC Worldwide Productions, will consist of 10 3-minute episodes, which will launch online at some point before Torchwood: Miracle Day premieres (July 8th) and then after each new episode of the series. Torchwood stars Eve Myles and John Barrowman are also set to lend their voices to the webseries, with Ryan Scott joining Espenson in writing it.

Dushku's previous voice-work includes video games Fight Night Champion, and Yakuza.

In other Eliza Dushku related news, the former Dollhouse star is set to appear in White Collar’s upcoming third season.
