FOX Renews 24 For Two More Seasons

Jack Bauer will live to survive another day and then at least one more day after that. FOX confirmed that they would be renewing the hit series, ‘24’ for at least two more seasons. Despite having to compete with ‘Heroes’ in Monday night’s ratings, ‘24’ still has a big enough fan base to keep the show around for a couple more years.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that FOX has indeed decided to keep the series alive for the next two years. They did not report as to whether or not the show would remain in its Monday night timeslot or whether the series would return in January, airing uninterrupted throughout the spring as it has in the last few of seasons.

Keifer Sutherland, who won an Emmy last year for his role as the terrorist-fighting hero, Jack Bauer, is signed on to stick with the series until 2009.

The season finale of ‘24’ will air on FOX this Monday at 8:00 pm EST. That’s one hour earlier than it normally airs. The episode will feature the final two hours of day six so make sure to set your DVRs for the extended final episode of the season.
