Homeland Season 2, Episode 5: Q&A Clips

Putting a minor (but ongoing) quibble aside, the second season of Homeland has been almost as tense, surprising and ultimately impressive as the first. Four episodes in (more staggering is that there's only been a total 14) and the action has barely stopped to take a breath, all while the show continues to craft two of the most rewarding characters on television in Claire Danes' Carrie Mathison and Damian Lewis' Nicholas Brody.

Homeland is especially exciting when you throw those two combustible elements in the same scene together as we saw last week in the second half of "New Car Smell." Actually, they got together a few times but the final meeting was surely the most memorable with Carrie getting to watch her terrorist hauled away. Yes, HER terrorist. Of course, Brody going behind bars, especially secretly, is going to cause some ripples and the first clip from "Q&A" has Estes telling one of the Congressman's handlers (I think) that "He Has The Flu"...

The second clip is a hell of a lot juicier and also reveals the meaning of Episode 5's title. The footage has Brody sitting in an interrogation room across from Quinn (a new agent introduced last week and played by Rupert Friend) being subjected to a pretty friendly (puns!) "Q&A." This isn't the first time that the sleeper has been called into questioning and asked whether or not he's "A Terrorist." He really needs to stop using Carrie as a scapegoat, that excuse isn't going to fly anymore. I don't think.

Homeland airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime. It stars Claire Danes, Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin and Morena Baccarin. It was adapted for American television by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon from the Israeli series Prisoners of War (or Hatufim) by Gideon Raff.
