The Lost Supper: Analyze The New Lost Promo Photo

ABC released an interesting promotional photo for the final season of Lost. It depicts the castaways posed in a photo similar to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, The Last Supper. Check out the photo ahead and post your theories on what the picture might mean!

Now for the theories. It’s entirely possible, (even likely) that given the writers' love for tossing clues out there, that the above photo has some relevance to the final season. I’m no biblical scholar, nor am I a Lost expert so I’m not even going to try to pick analyze the Lost photo by comparison to da Vinci’s painting, however I’m sure there are already theories out there and I invite you to share them. While there are a few more Losties seated at the airplane wing than there were disciples at Christ’s table, I’m thinking Locke’s presense in the Jesus-seat isn’t accidental.

Below is da Vinci’s painting, which features the following people (from left to right): Bartholomew, James Minor, Andrew, Judas, Peter, John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, Thomas, James Major, Philip, Matthew, Thaddeus and Simon. More information on the painting can be found here. Go to work, Lost theorists!

Lost’s final season premieres Tuesday, February 2nd 8/7c on ABC.
