MTV Movie Awards Set To Air Thursday Night

The MTV Movie Award Ceremony was taped this weekend and is set to air on Thursday night (June 8) at 9 pm. As usual the list of winners is all over the internet. The fact that this information isn’t kept secret is no real surprise. After all, do we really tune in to the show just to see who won? The MTV Movie Awards aren’t the Golden Globes or the Oscars. The night isn’t about fancy dresses and teary drawn out speeches.

The MTV Movie Awards is one of the only award ceremonies that acknowledge the movies that America’s youth can appreciate. Celebs show up dressed in a wide variety of attire, ranging from jeans and t-shirts to designer gowns. Presenters come prepared to read pre-written bits of banter off the teleprompter while nominees arm themselves with grateful but humorous acceptance speeches. But the night is hardly that predictable.

What will the opening movie-montage include? Will Jessica Alba be funny or play it safe as host of the event? What kind of unexpected moments will arise? Will the night’s music performances dominated the ceremony? These are all questions many excited viewers are eager to find out.

With funny-men like Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson making appearances, the show is bound to be full of laughs. Tune in to MTV Thursday night at 9 pm (or probably any day after Thursday) to watch the Awards go down.
