Mentalist Picked Up For Full Season

If you’re one of the millions of viewers tuning in to The Mentalist on Tuesday nights, you’ll be happy to learn that CBS has decided to pick up the new series for a full season. The network announced today that they’ve ordered the back nine episodes.

Right now, The Mentalist is averaging 16.14 million viewers, putting it at number 7 among all primetime programs. That’s pretty good for a new series. What’s more, The Mentalist is number one in its timeslot (Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m.) among adults ages 25-54, beating out Fox’s Fringe.

The Mentalist centers on Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), a consultant who works with the California Bureau of Investigation, helping them solve serious crimes using his keen observational skills.
