Oscar Has An Outburst In New Office Webisodes

As we mentioned last week, NBC.com is about to premiere a new set of Office webisodes. As with the previous Office webisodes, this new set centers on a plot that’s set aside from what’s going on in the actual series. The new set of webisodes is titled “The Outburst,” and follows Oscar as he deals with a personal problem while at work. Spoilers ahead!

Oscar’s got some drama going on in his life and this does not go unnoticed by the rest of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton crew. When Oscar is overheard yelling at someone on the phone, people immediately begin to wonder and speculate over what could be going on that’s caused him to throw a little tantrum. The curiosity (nosiness) begins to eat at everyone to varying degrees and the subject of the phone call quickly because all anyone can talk about.

Having screened the webisodes in their entirety, I definitely like this set much better than the last set (“Kevin’s Loan”). While Kevin’s one of my favorite characters, “The Outburst” seems to branch out on some of the other characters more than just Oscar and his issues with the mystery caller. That said, Oscar’s great in these webisodes. There’s just something so hilarious about seeing him throw a hissy fit and then even more funny watching him try to fend off his nosy coworkers as they desperately attempt to get information from him.

And speaking of the characters featured in this set of webisodes, while you won’t aww Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fisher, Rainn Wilson, a lot of the other cast is included: Brian Baumgartner (Kevin), Creed Bratton (Creed), Kate Flannery (Meredith), Ed Helms (Andy), Mindy Kaling (Kelly), Angela Kinsey (Angela), Paul Lieberstein (Toby), Oscar Nunez (Oscar), Phyllis Smith (Phyllis).

The Office webisodes for “The Outburst” will premiere on NBC.com on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Click here for video clips from the webisodes!
