Spartacus Gods Of The Arena Season Finale Preview: Bound To Each Other

There's just one day standing between us and the final episode of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. To tide you over, here’s another clip from the finale for you to check out. Minor spoilers ahead!

In case you missed it (and aren’t averse to some mild spoilers), you can view the other clip and speculation for “The Bitter End” here. And below is the clip that was released today, which features Lucretia and Naevia as they discuss the future of their relationship.

With Diona’s departure, it appears as though Lucretia is offering Naevia the privilege of keeping her virginity secure, at least for the time being. Those of us who have seen Spartacus: Blood and Sand know who the “worthy” person to be offered that prize is and how that whole situation plays out.

What I love about the above posted scene is that it’s a prime example of how Batiatus and Lucretia are as masters. On one hand, Lucretia is offering Naevia some level of security in assuring her that her body won’t be used for sport. On the other hand, she had her mark burned into the Naevia’s body, which isn’t exactly a nice thing to do to a person. She almost comes off as kind but when all is said and done, she’s still treating Naevia like cattle.

On a slightly related note, if you’re a fan of Ashur, Monsters & Critics has a great interview with Nick Tarabay that explores Ashur as a character. It’s definitely worth checking out!

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena’s final episode airs Friday at 10:00 p.m. ET on Starz.
